- 1 cup sugar - of your choice
- 4 ounce butter
- 2 Eggs
- 2 - 3 bananas - ripe
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- raisins
- Put 1 cup/250 ml of sugar in a big mixing bowl
- Put 4 oz/125 ml of butter in the bowl and mix well into the sugar
- Add 2 eggs to the bowl and mix thoroughly
- Peel 2 - 3 ripe bananas and mash the bananas on a plate - when crushed add to the bowl
- Add 1 cup/250 ml of flour to the bowl and mix thoroughly
- Add another cup/150 ml of flour in the bowl and mix
- Add teaspoon.5 ml of baking soda to the bowl
- Add teaspoon.5 ml of baking powder to the bowl
- Add a pinch of salt and mix the contents of the bowl thoroughly
- Add raisin to your liking and mix the batter thoroughly
- Butter the sides of the baking dish and using the spatula put the contents of the bowl/batter into the baking dish
- Place the baking dish in the oven for 60 minutes.
To test when the banana bread is finished poke the banana bread with a toothpick
