On the day of our cooking video shooting, Corinne, The Camera Girl, does most of the pre-preparation for each shoot in the studio kitchen
Corinne von Prong (Elliott) became fascinated with every thing associated with food when she realized how much she loved making fudge for school fundraisers as a young child. Corinne has an earned Bachelor of Household (Applied) Science (University of Guelph, ON) and a Bachelor of Education (University of Western Ontario, ON). Her summer jobs included being a kitchen counselor, working with a catering service and cooking at a golf course. Her favorite pass time is reading cookbooks, cooking magazines, newspaper recipes and watching cooking shows. She has inherited hundreds of pieces of paper and cards from relatives with hand-written homemade recipes, some dating back to great grandmother and great aunts on the family farms. Corinne enjoys trying and creating new recipes. Her hobbies include sewing and fashion. Corinne is a registered home economist and high school teacher in the Home Economics Department.
During the past two decades Corinne has been active in TV and movies as an extra and as a model for runway, print and commercials. She keeps fit by walking, weight training, yoga and “watching the proportion size” during meals.
Married for over three decades to Brian, they have taken several years off together to travel through the UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa and North America, enjoying their hobby of photography, experiencing cultures and tasting foods. They have lived in Bermuda, Durban, Nairobi, San Francisco CA, Clearwater FL, and Victoria, BC.
Corinne researches her recipes files, works in the preparation of ingredients and is the “Camera Girl” for the online cooking series ManfreedintheKitchen.com. All the cooking videos for the website videos are shot in one take. A Saturday live web-cast show is planned for the near future.
