Question by calzrhe: How can junk food be bad for a thin person trying to gain weight?
Normally, “junk food” like foods from fast food restaurants or chips and sweets are known to be bad because they make you fat. Now, I also heard that this type of food is also bad for a thin person trying to gain weight. How is that? And what’s the main difference between junk food and healthy food?

its bad because its not the healthy fats.
It is bad still because when you eat, you want to try and get nutrition from it. A little junk food here and there is not too bad, but all the time is not great. There could be health risks such as high blood pressure or diabetes. Your body will grow on it’s own. Most junk food doesn’t benefit your body and can make you tired too.
Junk food will give you less energy and make you more tired and exhausted. Healthy food like fruits and veggies will give you more energy and strength. Junk food will make you fat! You will get love handles, a second chin, and flabby. And idk about you but I would rather be thin then fat. If you want to gain weight, you should do it in a healthy way not by eating junk food
junk food is unhealthy, it has far far more sodium and saturated fats, things that clog your arteries and stress your organs in an attempt to filter the huge amounts
If you’re trying to gain fat, you’re inherently going to be less healthy, so there’s not really a way around it. If you’re trying to gain weight through muscle, then it’s fine to eat food with more CALORIES and protein, and even fats (like whole milk, perfect for putting on weight). Pasta has tons of calories, for example. Athletes eat way more calories than a sedentary person, but they use those calories
Junk food is high in fats, sugars and salts which are bad for your body regardless of your weight. Basically having too much of these foods will throw out your bodies natural balance (know as homeostasis) and will force parts of your body to become overworked (for example your liver)
when trying to gain weight skinny people are required to eat more protein and carbohydrates as they are low in saturated fats, salts and sugars 🙂
It may clog your arteries , ruin your skin, upset your stomach.
The reason junk foods and fast foods are bad isn’t because they ‘make you fat’. They do make you fat, but they’re FILLED with salt and sugar and saturated fat with are bad for your heart and other things. You need to gain weight in a healthy way by building muscle with protein and complex carbs. For instance, fast food cheeseburgers and soda will put flab on your ass, and give you zero energy so you’re tired and bloated two hours later where as if you go to the store, buy some lean ground beef and whole wheat buns, fill it with veggies and low fat cheese, drink a glass of 2% milk, you’ll be fueling your body to do some squats and wall sits, and dead lifts and you’ll have some healthy weight in no time. Throw in a protiem shake and you’ll be in business. PLEASE DON’T BE IGNORANT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.
