- 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1½ cups icing sugar (sifted)
- 1½ tablespoons maple syrup
- ½ tablespoon water (if necessary)
- Sift the icing sugar into a mixing bowl
- Softened butter by mixing with a whisk or fork and add to sifted icing in the bowl
- Add the maple syrup
- Stir contents with a wooden spoon.
- If necessary add a half teaspoon/2.5 ml of water and continue stirring
