Food Safety – for Pancakes made from scratch
Wash your hands with hand soap and water.
Make certain that all kitchen utensils and tools are clean
Be cautious with the knife. Curl your fingers back away from the knife when holding what you are cutting.
Never lick a knife.
Do not lick your fingers without washing your hands instantly after licking.
Never lick any kitchen utensil without washing it instantly before using it again.

- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- pinch salt
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup cooking oil
- 1 cup milk
Dry ingredients
- Put 1 cup/250 ml flour in a bowl
- Put 1 tablespoon/15 ml baking powder in the bowl
- Put 2 tablespoon/30 ml sugar in the bowl
- Put a pinch of salt in the bowl
Mix the ingredients together
Wet Ingredients - Crack 1 egg in the other bowl
- Add ¼ cup/50 ml of cooking oil
- Add 1 cup/250 ml of milk to the bowl
Mix ingredients together - Mix the fry ingredients with the wet ingredients
- Turn on heat to medium
- Put cooking oil in frying pan and shake around
- Pour 1 or 2 pancakes into the frying pan and heat until bubbles appear on the top of the pancake
- Flip the pancake and cook until brown on the bottom.
- When cooked put on a plate and serve with syrup, jam etc.

1. Wash all the kitchen utensils/tools and put them away in the proper cupboard.

3. Wipe down the counter-top with soap and water.
