Shepards Pie…go to the food network website and it’s a Rachael Ray recipe…it takes less than 30 minutes.
Spaghetti
Grilled chicken breast sandwiches
Tacos
Well you can make some boneless pork chops with mushroom sauce over white rice. Pan fry 3-5 boneless pork chops in olive oil. place over cooked white rice & top with cream off mushroom soup (campbell’s) but make with a little less water or milk than usual so the soup is more like a thicker sauce. Add pan fried mushroom for more mushroom flavor & wah lah…….
You could make macaroni and cheese, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and steak one night.
Haha. I’m only 13. I don’t know how to make a balanced meal…but this is what I always fix when I’m home alone.
bratha u need ta get yaself a lowrider and get jo ass to kfc the extra crispy recipe, and to drink kool aid, dessert my favorite watermelons! hola
Here’s my plan:
Wednesday:
Pasta primavera with all kinds of veggies, a light cream sauce, and maybe some chicken.
Thursday:
Pizza margherita
Friday:
Grilled chicken salads
I usually include spaghetti in my weekly menu planning. It is usually pretty easy and I change it up from time to time with different noodles and also you can add cheese for a little twist!
I also have this really fun recipe for me and my kids to make together…. you take english muffins and put pizza sauce on the muffin and add your favorite pizza toppings then top with cheese and bake until the cheese is melted. yummy.. my family loves them!!!
if only I planned this far ahead..well, here yar:
if you have a couple lbs of hamburger, make [at the same time] meatloaf and chili, the meatloaf if today’s, the chilli’s tomorrow it gets better over night] thee third day you can have meatloaf sandwiches with mashed spuds and gravy. in the meanwhile buy chicken breasts..do skinned, boned chicken breast with rice and baby carrots for the 4th day.
the left over chicken meat can be reheated on day 5, after you cut it small, make baking powder biscuits [or cheat and go to kfc and buy 6 or so ready made] make a chicken gravy using bullion and water, then adding milk and corn starch and serve the chicken mixed with the gravy over the biscuits.
Tonight, myself, I am making Steak au Poivre…it is cold and rainy, so a perfect dish alongside some roasted asparagus. But is springtime – time to get away from the really heavy dishes! Think pasta with fresh tomato’s or some beautiful red peppers stuffed with wild rice and veggies.
Shrimp is perfect, if you like shellfish – gazillion things you can do with shrimp!
Chicken and veggie ke-bobs are always yummy – spice them up in a marinade of chopped garlic, ginger and basil with fresh lemon juice and soy sauce.
How about a lovely risotto – do one with veggies or mushrooms…yum!
happy cooking!
Here’s my dinner schedule (ever changing):
Monday – Enchiladas
Buy a can of enchilada sauce from the store, tortillas, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, ground meat. Cook ground meat in pan over stove, and the last minute, put about 1/2 cup of enchilada sauce in with ground meat and stir until hot. Steam tortillas over boiling water, put meat in tortillas and roll them up like burritos. Put cheese over tortillas. Microwave the rest of the enchilada sauce, and pour over tortillas, and put more cheese on top. Makes about 4 large enchiladas, use less meat for more enchiladas. Takes about 10 minutes.
Tuesday – Chicken
Whatever floats your boat. I usually mix hone with grey poupon mustard, spread it over the chicken, and cook until it’s done. Honey mustard chicken – yum. Takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on chicken.
Wednesday – Spaghetti (or pasta of some sort)
Usually use the jar of spaghetti sauce, just heat it up. For something a little different, try making alfredo.
Thursday – Crock pot
Buy a large pork roast, and a bottle of bbq sauce. put everything in the crock pot and cook for about 4 hours on high.
Friday – Eat out
