Wash your hands with hand soap and water.
Make certain that all kitchen utensils and tools are clean
Be cautious with the knife. Curl your fingers back away from the knife when holding what you are cutting.
Never lick a knife.
Do not lick your fingers without washing your hands instantly after licking.
Never lick any kitchen utensil without washing it instantly before using it again.
- Water – as much as is required by the recipe you are working with
- pasta/spaghetti
- pinch salt
- Fill the cooking pot half filled with water and put it on high heat
- Add a pinch of salt to the water and bring the water to a boil
- Set the pot off the heat and add a small amount of pasta - start with about 1 inch/2.5 cm circumference of spaghetti
This will take a few times for you to know just how much pasta you want to make each time - left-over pasta can be re-heated and eaten later - store left-over past in the refrigerator - To check when spaghetti is cook - take one string of spaghetti and pinch it with your fingernail - if it is white in the middle it is not done - when there is no white center the spaghetti is done
You can bite into a piece of spaghetti and test if it is a-la-dent - Whenthe spaghetti is cooked - drain off the water in the colander and serve
